Greetings onto the Children of the Ivory Tower,
The *empowered* and *feared* William Lexington, Archon to His Grace Ulysian Thrace, held a gathering in the newly liberated city of Seattle on the first of September.
I attended the gathering as to serve as harpy until a proper court could be established by word of Archon Lexington. I also served as Envoy from Prince Wentworth of Spokane.
It was needless to say an interesting gathering akin to watching the early pioneers scramble in the muck to tame the land. The primary topic of interest for the evening was the question of praxis. Few were bold enough to seek the position. One candidate withdrew himself mere days before the gathering, I can only imagine why.
In the end, Emeric Belasco, of Clan Tremere, claimed praxis of Seattle. Long may he reign.
Prince Belasco proclaimed that the *feared* Doc Holiday would serve as his Sherriff within the city of Seattle.
As one would expect in any frontier city, there were occasional lapses in judgment and etiquette.
The setting of the Chinese Room was quite a marvel to behold. One hopes that Prince Belasco doesn’t use the Chinese Room too often least it lose its luster.
Of course, as the gathering was on Elysium, everyone was welcome. Even anarchs that don’t quite grasp manners. I suppose we should be grateful that they wiped their boots on the way inside.
The most disappointing lapse of the night was from the clan of Kings. It seems that the Doc Holiday’s known anarch sympathies may have contaminated his entire clan. I mention this because the Clan of Kings selected an unacknowledged childer to serve as their primogen. Shocking, yes? There was even a rumor floating about that Mr. Kingley wasn’t even a true blooded ventrue. One would have thought that at least one of their number that had actually been in the Camarilla would have offered their services. Noblesse oblige, Indeed.
I wonder how the rest of the clan of Kings will react to that. I shall be most interested to see how Mr. Kingsley does at the next gathering and if he even knows the traditions. Perhaps, Mr. Kingsley will rise to the occasion. After all, his brethren in Seattle have wagered their own standing upon his deeds.
Prince Wentworth wishes it know that he supports this new endeavor in Seattle and offers his own personal support to Prince Belasco in the rebuilding process. His forces stand ready to defend Seattle from all enemies.
