Background Information:

John Calhoun is something of an oddity in the ventrue. He was the son of a rebel slave that was embraced during the Battle of Gettysburg. It is whispered that his sire had been one of the founders of the East India Trading Company.

Calhoun quickly forced his clan to respect him on his own terms. During the cities, it was his influence that caused Atlanta to avoid the major problems of segration. He came up with the tagline for Atlanta as "the city that's too busy to hate."

During the 70s, Calhoun made friends with the elder Zarthos and when most of the court was killed during the Sabbat Invasion of 1998, he took action.
