Ancelin Blanchard

Character Name: Ancelin Blanchard
Clan: Toreador

Player Name: NPC
Email Address: Pending

Background Information:

Ancelin Blanchard is the current Royal Harpy of North America. She often claims that her artform is intrigue and if that is true, she is a master of it. Blanchard’s opinions are very well regarded. Blanchard is also behind the current debate over boons and the nature of the Treaty of Thorns. Some say she is encouraging the current hard line against them.

Her two childer are James de la Croix and Nick Valmonte.

It is commonly believed that her well-known opinion that the rebel assamites should be allowed entry into the Camarilla helped sway many of the princes at the last conclave. Some say that had entirely too much to do with her assamite lover Eban el-Lahiki, but few will dare say such things.

In the early 19th century, Ancelin seized praxis of Boston. She ruled Boston for several decades until the assamite Eban el-Lahiki arrived. They had fought during the Anarch Revolt and negotiated over minor details during the finalization of the Treaty of Thorns. Many expected bloodshed when they met the third time.

Instead, they fell in love. The scandal cost Ancelin Blanchard much of her standing and Praxis, but she did not waver. They were either patient or simply didn’t care. When the Assamites left the Mountain en mass, it was Eban El Lahiki that first offered them a place and a home. When the Inner Council offered a place to the assamites in the Camarilla, Ancelin Blanchard suddenly appeared to be a visionary. She used her new found prestige to make herself Harpy of Boston and then later at the last conclave, the Royal Harpy.

Since then, many have expected her to capitalize on her new standing and seize praxis back from Everett Blake. Thus far, she has been content with pushing Eban El Lahiki into the Seneshal position.
