Los Angeles Harpy Report 11-01-2007

Hello there, Creepies and Crawlies,

Two weeks ago, I visited the domain of Seattle. It was very interesting to say the least. I was certainly not disappointed in the pioneer spirit of Seattle.

I waited to issue my report because I didn’t want to scoop the local harpy, Mr. Franklin. Now that he has done so, I thought I’d add my own observations to mix.

Let's start at the beginning, shall we?

Prince Belasco decreed that his Nosferatu primogen Nidhogg and his Gangrel primogen Raven would duel as a punishment. They fought Thunderdome style in full view of the Court. And then of course, both of them cheated and brought ghouls. It was very much like Benny Hill with them chasing each other back and forth. Nidhogg won and presented Raven to his prince. Afterwards, Prince Belasco gave Nidhogg right of destruction and then bloodhunted Raven.

Naturally, there was some confusion. Perhaps it was because of the *milk toast* like manner that Prince Belasco announced it. That must be the reason that most of the gathering seemed to ignore the bloodhunt and go about their business. Except of course, the rest of clan Tremere. They seemed to understand what happens when a bloodhunt is called. Perhaps, they felt bad for their clanmate. I was very glad that Joe, Sheriff of Spokane, was able to complete the bloodhunt.

And then came the big news. Steven Court seized praxis from Emeric Belasco. Well, seized isn’t exactly the right word. More like walked over and politely asked for it. It was the dullest praxis change I’ve ever seen. Either Steven Court is very frightening behind the scenes or Emeric Belasco has the personality of *milk toast*. Or perhaps both. I leave that to the gentle reader to decide.

The rest of the evening was rather peaceful. Except of course for the execution of anarchs in public. That certainly caused a stir.

Oh yes, and there was a wonderful performance by Lady Nigreda. I was quite impressed by this *Sheep Lover* but perhaps my tastes are not common. I’m sure many of you have seen the video by now. Simply delightful. I can only presume that she was moved by the Pioneer Spirit.

I was very pleased to see that so many visiting dignitaries were in Seattle that evening. Lady Mouse, Seneschal of Los Angeles, was present and I’m told accounted herself well. I was surprised to see Mr. Ignatius, Seneschal of Chicago, and Mr. Hop-Frog, Seneschal of Atlanta present. It is interesting tides that these social predators might swim.

It has been many years since I’ve been to a hoe-down and I was not disappointed.

Until next time,

Styles

Harpy of Los Angeles

OOC:

Nosferatu Clan Status 5, Camarilla Status 7

Losing praxis, even voluntarily, is hard on your status. Belasco gains the negative status *milk toast.*

This isn't coming directly from Styles, just an acknowledgement of the negative status one gets when one loses praxis. This is basically a version of the flaw Former Prince from the storytellers. Belasco will be able to get rid of it in the usual fashion.
